About
An independent photography consultant based in London since 2001, I advise private collectors, estates, and institutions on valuations, acquisitions, and deaccessions, and coordinate photography-led fundraising initiatives, including books and special projects. My consultancy builds on senior leadership roles within the international photography market, including Head of Photographs at Christie’s London, where I directed departmental strategy, led major sales, negotiated with clients, and oversaw valuations, cataloguing, marketing, and staff management. I held a senior role at The Photographers’ Gallery in London, where I led the print sales operation, and later worked at the Howard Greenberg Gallery in New York, supporting gallery management and working closely with artists and clients.
In 2004, I was approached by the estate of the legendary British fashion photographer Norman Parkinson to represent his work. In December 2005, I invited Eric Franck to partner with me in co-founding the Norman Parkinson Archive, which became the exclusive worldwide representative of Parkinson’s estate. From 2005 to 2018, I served as Co-Director of the Archive, overseeing the global stewardship of Parkinson’s work and managing all commercial, publication, and syndication rights. Under our direction, the Archive placed Parkinson’s work in major public and private collections across the United States and Europe, produced more than 60 exhibitions worldwide, published two books, collaborated on a BBC Arena documentary and began work on a global traveling exhibition. Alongside Eric Franck Fine Art, Parkinson’s photography was presented annually at leading international fairs including AIPAD, Paris Photo, and Photo London, and featured in notable commercial campaigns with brands such as Charlotte Tilbury Cosmetics and Mulo Shoes. We managed the Norman Parkinson Archive until 2018.
